Under a bright, sunlit sky, the TSO’s Pride Salon unfolded in a dazzling display of music and celebration. On June 15, 2024, attendees arrived dressed to impress, flaunting vibrant and varied ‘fits that captured the spirit of Pride. The event kicked off with warm welcome remarks from charming host Barrett Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, and a stellar chamber performance by a quartet of TSO string players. Associate Principal Second Violin Kun Yan, Violin Ah Young Kim, Viola Ivan Ivanovich, and Cello Song Hee Lee dazzled the audience with an eclectic program of songs from Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, and classical, concluding with a spirited rendition of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”.

Afterwards, guests filed onto the exclusive King St. terrace for a delightful patio party. The energy was electric as they mingled with TSO musicians while savouring gourmet hors d’oeuvres and refreshing beverages. And the vibes were on point as drag icon Sanjina DaBish Queen and the beats of DJ Fawn Big Canoe brought the patio to life.
