In response to the immediate and long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the TSOUND Connections program was created to reduce social isolation among seniors in care.

Social isolation and loneliness were significant challenges for seniors before the COVID-19 crisis, and have become even more pressing as COVID-19 has increased the stress and isolation among seniors in long-term care, retirement residences, in the community, and elsewhere

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

TSOUND Connections uses music and technology to reduce isolation and provide opportunities to socialize. The program connects seniors with a TSO musician for a 30-minute session of music and conversation over Zoom or Google Meet. To view highlights of calls, please watch the video below.

This program is currently being offered at no cost to our program partners and is open to long-term care, retirement, and assisted-living homes, as well as organizations that offer virtual adult day programs.
