Adizokan
This performance replaces our previously announced collaboration with Red Sky Performance, She Holds Up the Stars, which will be presented in a future season.
Adizokan — a sacred place where stories, songs, and dreams originate.
Experience the evocative culture of Indigenous peoples of Canada in Adizokan, a dynamic and genre-bending collaboration conceived and directed by Sandra Laronde, founder and artistic director of Red Sky Performance. Originally premiered by the TSO, Adizokan blends vocals, dance, and video with electro-acoustic and orchestral music by Canadian composer Eliot Britton. A multi-sensory journey for all ages, Adizokan explores themes of identity, tradition, and the spiritual connections between Indigenous peoples and the natural world.
This concert lasts approximately 55 minutes with no intermission.
