Beethoven in the Stars
Seven musicians stand on seven stars
sharing their artistry to play together
We watch and listen from our distant places
some here, some there, a global audience
The players enter into a communion
not only with each other but with him
The genius remote from his surroundings
but deep in the interior of music
He found the chords and tempo to compose
a chamber piece of such exquisite beauty
That we are lifted high beyond our ken
into a constellation free of time.
