As we return to in-person, indoor performances, the health and safety of our patrons, musicians, and staff is our top priority, and all government health measures will be strictly observed. Plan to arrive early—we recommend arriving within 15 minutes of the doors opening to ensure you have time to enter the hall and take your seats before the concert start time.

Hours for single-ticket sales and information:

In- Person: Box Office is closed on non-performance days.
On performance days: The Box Office will open 3 (three) hours prior to the performance start time and remain open until 30 (thirty) minutes after the performance starts.
By Phone: Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm
Weekends: The box office phone lines will open 3 hours prior to concert start time.

Bag Search and Large Bags and Items

To reduce physical touch points and enhance safety, bags are discouraged and will be subject to a security search prior to entry.

Roy Thomson Hall and the TSO are committed to the safety and well-being of all guests and patrons, and aim to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable concert experience. All patrons entering Roy Thomson Hall will be subject to a bag search. This includes all handbags, purses and backpacks.

Please note that large bags unable to fit under your seat will not be permitted at Roy Thomson Hall. We encourage you to leave large bags and items at home or to arrange storage elsewhere as we are not able to offer bag check on these items. Permitted bags should be soft sided and able to fit completely under the auditorium seats. Outside food and beverage items are also prohibited inside our venues. Please be advised that unopened bottles of water are permitted within the hall. Opened containers must be emptied before entering the venue.

An exception will be made for declared medically necessary items, after proper inspection.

By Car

Take the QEW/Gardiner Expressway.

Proceed north on University to Wellington Street, then west on Wellington to Simcoe.

By Public Transit

TTC

Take the TTC subway to St. Andrew Station, then exit and walk west through the underground walkway toward the Hall. This walkway provides easy access to Roy Thomson Hall from both the MetroCentre parking lot and the St. Andrew subway station. GO Transit

Take GO Transit to Union Station, then exit and walk west to Simcoe Street, then proceed north to the Hall.

Neighbourhood Construction

Simcoe St. & Front St. PATH Tunnel Construction 

Work is scheduled between August 21, 2021 and January 31, 2023.

In conjunction with the development of 160 Front Street West, the City has approved a PATH tunnel connection between 160 Front Street West and Simcoe Place. 

Impact:

  • Simcoe Street will be closed to northbound and southbound vehicular traffic, from Front Street to Wellington Street
  • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained throughout construction on the west side of Simcoe Street.  The pedestrian sidewalk will be shifted slightly west, so that it is directly adjacent to the Simcoe Place building.
  • The eastbound lane on Wellington between John and Simcoe is closed.Please note, Wellington Street will remain open to westbound traffic.

John St. Corridor Improvements - Toronto Hydro

Work is scheduled between 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday from August 2021 - September 2022.

Toronto Hydro is rebuilding the electrical distribution system in the community to improve the reliability of electrical service in the area. The rebuild will impact lanes along John and Wellington.

Impact:

  • Two westbound lanes on Wellington in front of 200 Wellington Ave. W. to John St will be closed off, leaving one westbound lane open.
  • The eastbound lane on Wellington between John and Simcoe is closed.
  • One westbound lane on Wellington at the southwest corner of John and Wellington will be closed, two westbound lanes remain open through John and Wellington intersection and beyond.
  • Both northbound and southbound traffic are maintained on John St. from Front St. to King St.

King Street Traffic

The City of Toronto prevents through movement at most King Street intersections (between Bathurst Street and Jarvis Street) for private vehicles. For full details and to plan your trip, please visit the City of Toronto website.

Parking

Please note that the entire area of Simcoe Street from King Street to Wellington Street is now designated as a NO STANDING area, with the exception of two NO PARKING areas. Rush-hour regulations apply to the entire area. Any parked vehicles with or without an Accessible Parking Permit may be tagged and/or towed.

Roy Thomson Hall Parking Lot

Limited underground parking is available to the public at Roy Thomson Hall. There are fewer than 300 underground parking spaces available to TSO patrons on a first-come, first-served basis on TSO concert evenings and for matinees. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra cannot guarantee parking for all patrons for any given concert in the Roy Thomson Hall parking garage. The entrance to this garage is on Wellington Street. The hours of operation are 6:00am–12:30am daily. The garage is closed on holidays. There is some Accessibility Parking available.

MetroCentre Parking Lot

This parking garage has approximately 500 spaces and is easily accessible by foot through the MetroCentre concourse to Roy Thomson Hall. We recommend parking in the pink section of the MetroCentre garage and accessing the main floor of MetroCentre [M] by elevator.

The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto

A special valet parking rate of $30 per vehicle is available to all Maestro's Club Members who wish to park across the street at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, 181 Wellington Street.  Please note that this offer does not apply to overnight parking.

Music Store

The Roy Thomson Hall Music Store has closed, effective December 23, 2017. On behalf of The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the Music Store, thank you for your great support over the years.
