Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki has performed with TSO many times since his début at age 16 in 2002. This year is no exception, and he returns with a concerto by Prokofiev!

In a slight departure from his more recent repertoire, Jan Lisiecki returns to the TSO with an early piano concerto by Prokofiev. Packed with virtuoso fireworks and blistering intensity, this concerto is nothing short of spectacular in the hands of pianist of Lisiecki’s stature.
In this interview with Kathleen Kajioka on Sunday Night at the TSO, he talks about the concertos’ difficulty and delights, its rather unusual history, and his love of playing with the TSO.
