Disruptor Conductor Watch Party
Friday, May 29, 2020, at 7:00pm
TSO Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser was drawn to classical music from a young age and often turned to it for solace. As a professional conductor today, and with roles at Symphony Nova Scotia and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, he’s using his musical power for good as he breaks down institutional walls to bring live orchestral music to young people, the LGBTQ2+ community, and people on the autism spectrum. His story is captured in the 2019 CBC Gem documentary Disruptor Conductor.
Join us for a Disruptor Conductor Watch Party on May 29. Tune in at 7:00pm to enjoy a pre-documentary talk with Director Sharon Lewis, conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, and representatives from the TSO and SNS, as they discuss the impact orchestras today can have on the communities they serve. Then sit back as we enjoy CBC Gem's phenomenal documentary together.
Tune in Friday at 7:00pm and enjoy #TSOatHome!
