Connecting Seniors Through the Transformative Power of Music

When words fail, music speaks. Born during the pandemic to serve audiences in need, TSOUND Connections brings intimate musical experiences into the homes of socially isolated seniors in long-term care, retirement, and assisted-living facilities. 

Through 30-minute virtual sessions, TSO and TSYO musicians connect with participants, blending music and conversation to create meaningful relationships. These personalized programs include participants’ favorite orchestral and pop music pieces, ensuring every session resonates deeply.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we’ve recently expanded TSOUND Connections to include live performances—all offered completely free of charge.

Now in its third year, the program has become an essential pillar of our community initiatives; harnessing the power of music to enrich lives and support well-being. This season alone, the TSO has planned 50 sessions, and so far, dozens of seniors have enjoyed 660 minutes of music and connection with our musicians.
