Bridget Hunt was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She spent her school years living in Saskatoon and commuting to Calgary for lessons with Dr. Lise Elson.

After a year of living in Australia with her family, Bridget went to Indiana University to complete a bachelor’s degree under Miriam Fried. She then continued her education in New York at Manhattan School of Music, where she completed a master’s degree with Sylvia Rosenberg. Bridget’s other teachers include Ani Kavafian, Lorands Fenyves, and Paul Biss.

Bridget has been a prize winner in the CIBC Nationals and the Canadian Music Competition, and was the grand-prize winner of the Eckhardt-Gramatté Competition. Bridget is an active chamber musician around Toronto and has participated in many chamber music series such as Evening Overtures, 5 Small Concerts, New Music Concerts, and chamberWORKS, among others. Bridget is married to Gemini Award–winning composer, Robert Carli. They are the proud parents of two children, Jane and Thomas. In her spare time, Bridget enjoys reading, meditating, and playing with her cat, Zoe.
