More than 70 performances were shared with us via social media and email, and it was an absolute pleasure seeing so many talented musicians play along with us.
Red Sky Performance and Toronto Symphony Orchestra Collaborate on Musical Creation and Mentorship with Indigenous Artists
A collaboration that will culminate in a new musical work by Indigenous music creators and Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) musicians has begun between Red Sky Performance and the TSO. The new work will be part of a digital performance of Red Sky’s award-winning production of Mistatim, which is scheduled to première next fall.
The TSO’s 89-member youth orchestra attracts some of the most talented students in the province. Anna Maria Moubayed, an 18-year-old TSYO member and a journalism student at Ryerson, shares her perspective on this unusual season of learning and performing. This is her second season in the TSYO.
