Impresarios Club

Young professionals donor program from $120/year ($10/month)

Why join the Impresarios Club?

The Impresarios Club is a dynamic community of young professionals who share a passion for the TSO. As an Impresarios Club donor, you will make connections with other like-minded music lovers and TSO musicians at post-concert socials and special events–all while providing vital support for your Orchestra’s acclaimed concert performances and music-education programs.

Impresarios Club FAQ

What does my Impresarios Club donation support?

Your support helps the TSO deliver a varied repertoire of exceptional music performed by musicians of the highest calibre. And you play an integral role in bringing the finest guest artists to the stage, commissioning new works, developing tomorrow’s talent through the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, and inspiring a passion for music through our curriculum-based School Concerts.

As an Impresarios Club donor, you will receive periodic updates through an e-newsletter and other communications on how your support is helping your Orchestra make a difference in your city.

What is the tax-deductible amount of my donation?

Impresarios Club donations under $1,000 are fully tax-deductible. Donations over $1,000 grant you access to the Maestro's Club Lounge at all TSO concerts at Roy Thomson Hall, so the Canada Revenue Agency requires that we deduct $250 from your tax receipt for the fair-market value of Maestro's Club Lounge hospitality. You may choose to decline use of the Maestro’s Club Lounge and receive a full tax receipt.

What do you mean by “young” professional?

The Impresarios Club is targeted to young professionals in their 20s and 30s, with a goal of fostering philanthropic support among younger patrons. If you are in your 40s, you are welcome to join at your discretion or consider becoming a Friend of the TSO.

Can I become an Impresarios Club donor at any time?

Yes. The Impresarios Club is a rolling individual-giving program, which means that you can sign up at any time of the year and will be entitled to receive donor benefits for a full calendar year starting on the date of your donation. The TSO concert season typically runs from September to June.

Can my employer match my donation?

Yes! Double the impact of your gift at no additional cost to you. Please check with your employer to see if your gift can be matched through a corporate matching-gift program.

How will I find out about events and special offers for Impresarios Club members?

As part of your membership, you will receive e-newsletters with information about upcoming events. All event notifications are sent via email, so please let us know if you have updated your email address. You can also like the Impresarios Club Facebook page for regular updates!

Are there additional costs to attend Impresarios Club events?

Impresarios Club Concert Socials, Open Rehearsals, and Backstage Tours are complimentary for donors. Preferred pricing is in effect for Impresarios Club Salons.

Tickets to TSO performances range in price depending on your age, the seat you select, and the number of tickets you purchase at one time.

What if I only want to attend a few Impresarios Club events?

You are welcome to attend as many or as few events as you’d like. Some donor events such as Open Rehearsals and Backstage Tours are complimentary and only require that you RSVP (space is limited). Other donor events such as Impresarios Club Salons have an additional cost; however, you need only pay if you decide to go. No matter how many events you make it to in a season, your donation will remain an important source of support for the TSO, and we will keep you up to date on Impresarios Club activities.
