The Toronto Symphony Orchestra announces a vacancy to be filled at the beginning of the 2018/19 season:

Associate Concertmaster (tenure track position)

International Auditions are scheduled for June 4 and 5, 2018

The 2018/2019 forty-three week season includes a weekly scale fee of $2,079.85 for a yearly minimum of $89,433.55. Five of these weeks are paid non-service weeks, with one additional vacation week and two string relief weeks scheduled at the TSO’s convenience.

Other Benefits: Long term disability insurance, Sick leave, 10% CFM-Musicians Pension Fund of Canada contribution.

Please be advised that finalists may be invited to play with the Orchestra during the week of June 11-16, 2018.

The audition committee reserves the right to dismiss, at any time during the audition procedure, any candidate who does not meet the required standard of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
