The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) held its Annual General Meeting today, announcing that the TSO’s accumulated deficit is now the lowest it has been in almost three decades. On the heels of receiving the largest donation in the history of the organization, the TSO ended the 2019 fiscal year with a surplus of $1.9 million, enabling the organization to reduce the accumulated deficit to $2.6 million, which is a reduction of $9.6 million since Fiscal 2013.
