Dear Music Lovers,
My name is Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, and I’m the TSO’s Barrett Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador. My goal is to bring the TSO together with diverse communities across Toronto by developing meaningful and engaging programs that connect people through music.
The past year has brought with it some incredible challenges, but it helped us learn to connect with each other in creative and meaningful ways. Our inability to congregate brought to the fore our need to gather as a community around art that unites, challenges, and heals. Continuing on what we learned last year, we have some exciting programs planned for this upcoming season. The TSOUND Connections will bring music and conversation to seniors in care settings. Red Sky’s digitally reimagined Mistatim will introduce children and families to an unforgettable story of reconciliation. These works and works like these will give you a small taste of the direction and motivation of what’s to come. The tip of the iceberg.
We will be sharing more community programs and events taking place throughout this season, and you can also check back here regularly for more information!
