Junior & Intermediate: The Composer Is Dead

Suitable for grades 4–8

Simon Rivard, RBC Resident Conductor
Kevin Frank, host
Eugene Ye, cello (2018/19 TSYO Concert Competition Winner)

Whodunit? Was it the shifty strings, or perhaps the treacherous trombones? This musical mystery by Nathaniel Stookey and Lemony Snicket is a delightfully offbeat introduction to the instruments of the orchestra. Don your detective gear and join the Inspector as he interrogates all the unusual suspects in this mystery-inspired concert. You’ll even get a chance to perform The Pink Panther theme with the TSO!

Program includes: *

Nathaniel Stookey: The Composer Is Dead
Mancini/arr. H. Cable: Theme from The Pink Panther
Shostakovich: Cello Concerto No. 1 – Mvt 1
