  • Short, Fun, and Perfect for Families: Each performance lasts about an hour—just the right amount of time to keep young attention spans engaged and entertained. It’s a great way to spend a weekend together!
  • Play Before the Show! Make an afternoon of it, if you want! Arrive early to explore our Instrument Discovery Zone and Music Playground, where kids can try different instruments. Or catch a pre-concert lobby performance. 
  • Inspire a Love for Music: Live performances can be magical, and they offer an exciting introduction to the world of music. Whether your child wants to pick up an instrument or just develops a deeper appreciation, YPC concerts help foster that love.

Beethoven Lives Upstairs

Beethoven Lives Upstairs features a lively exchange of letters between young Christoph and his uncle. Their subject: the “madman” who has moved into the upstairs apartment of Christoph’s Vienna home. Through a touching correspondence, dramatically underscored with excerpts from the composer’s most beautiful creations, Christoph slowly comes to understand the genius of Beethoven and the beauty of his music.

Adizokan

Experience the evocative culture of Indigenous peoples of Canada in Adizokan, a dynamic and genre-bending collaboration conceived and directed by Sandra Laronde, founder and artistic director of Red Sky Performance. Originally premiered by the TSO, Adizokan blends vocals, dance, and video with electro-acoustic and orchestral music by Canadian composer Eliot Britton. A multi-sensory journey for all ages, Adizokan explores themes of identity, tradition, and the spiritual connections between Indigenous peoples and the natural world. slowly comes to understand the genius of Beethoven and the beauty of his music.
