Your Questions Answered
2021/22 Season
How will the 2021/22 season look compared to previous seasons?
We are pleased to present a subscription season of Masterworks, Pops, and Young People’s Concerts Series performances starting in November 2021 and running through June 2022.
November through February concerts will be 60–75 minutes without intermissions, and include approximately 50 distanced musicians on stage.
March through June concerts will feature the entire ensemble in full-length programs with intermissions.
What safety measures will be in place?
As we return to in-person, indoor performances, the health and safety of our patrons, musicians, and staff is our top priority, and all government health measures will be strictly observed. For a complete listing of audience safety measures, including proof of vaccination and required mask wearing, visit TSO.CA/Safety.
When will tickets go on sale?
2021/22 Curated Series and Compose Your Own subscriptions are available now! With savings up to 35% off single-ticket prices, there’s never been a better time to become a season ticket holder. For more information, visit TSO.CA/Subscribe.
Single tickets can be purchased today. View the full performance calendar at TSO.CA/Concerts. Single tickets for the remainder of the season will be available in December—check back at a later date for more information.
Sign up for the TSO Email Club to get ticket-availability alerts.
*Access to donor pre-sales is a benefit for donors giving $100 or more annually.
Will seating be impacted?
If audience-capacity limits or other public-health regulations are in place when the season begins, we will find comparable seats and dates to the best of our ability, and communicate any changes to you in a timely manner.
In accordance with current policies for indoor venues in Step Three of the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen, the hall will be operating at 50% capacity (approximately 1,300 seats). Social distancing is not required in venues where audiences are fully vaccinated and masked. Seating will be available in all levels of the hall.
When will 2021/22 Subscription tickets be provided?
To reduce physical touch points and enhance safety, the TSO is making mobile tickets the default option for ticket delivery for concerts in the 2021/22 season. Read more about mobile tickets at our Ticket Information page.
We are here to help! To review ticket delivery options or request an alternative delivery method, contact Patron Services at contactus@TSO.CA or by calling 416.598.3375, Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5:00pm.
Will TSO Live Streams be available in the 2021/22 season?
Yes, we are happy to announce four TSO Live Streams beginning in November, with tickets starting at just $10. To view the full schedule, visit TSO.CA/Livestreams.
What happens if concerts are impacted by COVID-19?
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra deeply values the support of our ticket buyers and donors, and it is important to us that you have confidence and choice whenever you book a ticket to our concerts. Throughout the 2021/22 season, we are committed to providing you with options to use at any time, including placing the value of your tickets on account for future use, donating your tickets for a charitable tax receipt, or receiving a refund.
If public-health regulations limit capacity, we will find comparable seats and dates to the best of our ability and communicate any changes in a timely manner.

Donations
How can I support the TSO?
A great way to support your TSO and ensure the artistic vitality of your Orchestra is to maintain your annual giving or become an annual donor—with either a single gift or monthly instalments. With a tax-deductible charitable donation of $100 or more (or monthly gift starting at $10 per month), you will receive exclusive donor benefits and privileges in recognition of your generosity that bring you closer to the music you love. To donate, or for more information on the TSO’s donor programs, visit TSO.CA/Support.
We greatly appreciate the support of all our annual donors, at all levels of investment. Thank you!
What donor benefits will be offered in the 2021/22 season?
We continue to work within pandemic restrictions to adapt the TSO’s donor membership benefits and privileges in meaningful ways to recognize your critical and loyal support, and show our sincere gratitude. All Friends, Maestro’s Club, and Impresarios Club members will be kept up to date on the impact of their support through member communications including Noteworthy, and engaged through invitations to exclusive virtual performances and events, curated behind-the-scenes TSO digital content, advance notice of donor pre-sale dates for scheduled concerts, and more. As restrictions allow, in-person donor events like Donor Open Rehearsals may resume in 2022.
If you have questions regarding your annual donation, Friends membership, or Impresarios Club membership, please contact TSO Donor Services at 416.598.5311 or giving@TSO.CA.
As of right now, we are still determining whether the lounge will be open. We are currently working closely with Roy Thomson Hall to address all aspects of the concert hall experience for patrons to ensure they align with the health and safety protocol recommendations from Public Health.
