Celebrate the Year of the Snake with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Lunar New Year celebration has emerged
as Toronto’s pre-eminent musical tribute to Chinese heritage. Through a spectacular showcase of Chinese-Canadian talent, we invite you to join us in honouring the Year of the Snake.
Renown Conductor Naomi Woo, host and narrator, Dashan (Mark Rowswell), and guzheng virtuoso, Wu Fei graces us with their presence at our elegant cocktail reception and dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel. Guests will delight in a lively lion dance performance, which will bring fortune and luck to this auspicious occasion, followed by a spectacular showcase of art and culture.
Dinner guests will be ceremoniously escorted down Simcoe Street for a dazzling Lunar New Year concert at Roy Thomson Hall, with the best in-house seating.

Proceeds from the TSO’s Lunar New Year Celebration support the Orchestra’s expansive community engagement and education activities which reach over 40,000 young people annually, over 400 seniors in care, and 1,300 neurodiverse patrons. Our programs serve all pockets of our community with enriching and impactful music experiences.
