After the resounding success of the TSO Lunar New Year dinner in celebration of the Year of the Snake, we are pleased to share our upcoming plans to mark the energetic Year of the Horse. Join your TSO on Saturday, February 28, 2026, for a spectacular showcase of music and dance featuring fabulous guest artists! Kick off the evening with an exclusive cocktail reception and dinner at Shangri-La Hotel Toronto, where you’ll enjoy lively entertainment, delicious food, and great company. Then, join your TSO at Roy Thomson Hall for a concert program that celebrates the vibrancy of this important festival. The evening will surely make you feel the joys and warmth that this special occasion brings.

TSO Lunar New Year Concert at Roy Thomson Hall
Guests are welcome to join a short musical walk down Simcoe or hop on a luxury van that will take them directly to Roy Thomson Hall. Enjoy fun lobby activities, including a bustling vendor market, and experience a fantastic concert program led by conductor Carolyn Kuan, and featuring host and narrator Dashan, pipa player Wu Man, and piano prodigy Ryan Huang – a Lang Lang International Music Foundation Scholar.

Proceeds from the TSO’s Lunar New Year Celebration support the Orchestra’s expansive community engagement and education activities which reach over 40,000 young people annually, over 400 seniors in care, and 1,300 neurodiverse patrons. Our programs serve all pockets of our community with enriching and impactful music experiences.
