Classics

Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique with the National Arts Centre Orchestra

Fri, May 28, 2027 Roy Thomson Hall

New National Arts Centre Orchestra Music Director John Storgårds joins superstar violinist Hilary Hahn, who brings radiance to Søren Nils Eichberg’s Violin Concerto, framed by Barbara Assiginaak’s and Arvo Pärt’s atmospheric meditations. Tchaikovsky’s heart-wrenching “Pathétique”, a reflection of the composer’s own inner turmoil, anchors the evening with sweeping emotion.

Please note: Beginning in the 2026/27 season, Masterworks will be known as Classics.
