Classics

Tchaikovsky’s Fourth

Thu, Jan 14–Sun, Jan 17, 2027 Roy Thomson Hall

Spanish pianist Javier Perianes performs Jimmy López’s Ephemerae, a perfume-inspired piano concerto where musical ideas drift in and out like an elusive scent. Sibelius’s “The Swan of Tuonela” paints a hushed river journey through the underworld with a haunting English horn solo, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 brings the program to a climax with its raw emotion.

Please note: Beginning in the 2026/27 season, Masterworks will be known as Classics.
