Classics

Shostakovich & Mozart

Thu, Nov 5, 2026 Roy Thomson Hall
Sat, Nov 7–Sun, Nov 8, 2026 George Weston Recital Hall

Gustavo Gimeno leads a spellbinding program, from the shadowy magic of Sofia Gubaidulina’s Fairytale Poem to the sly humour of Shostakovich’s Concerto for Piano, Trumpet, and String Orchestra, featuring pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin and TSO Principal Trumpet Steven Woomert. Mozart’s Symphony No. 39 rounds out the concert with youthful brilliance, sparkle, and grace.

Please note: Beginning in the 2026/27 season, Masterworks will be known as Classics.
