Moussa Conducts Moussa & Dvořák
Sunlit melodies are tempered by a mist of searching, plaintive introspection in the symphony often regarded as Dvořák’s crowning achievement. TSO Artist in Residence Samy Moussa leads a program that includes one of his newest works, inspired by his visits to a small Italian town. When words couldn’t express Shakespeare’s vision, he’d invent his own, and, when harmonic language couldn’t give voice to Wagner’s, he did the same. Revolutionary, world-altering music from Tristan und Isolde begins the concert. (Pictured: Samy Moussa, TSO Artist in Residence)
