Dvořák & Mendelssohn
Just 30, Aziz Shokhakimov has been internationally acclaimed as one of the most electrifying conductors of the younger generation. He leads the TSO in Mendelssohn’s atmospheric Third Symphony, inspired by the composer’s Scottish holiday. TSO Principal Cello Joseph Johnson will be heard in Dvořák’s elegy for a long-lost love—the impassioned Cello Concerto. (Pictured: Joseph Johnson, TSO Principal Cello)
This concert is available in the Saturday 2 Masterworks series.
