2026/27 NextGen Composers

Since 2020, the TSO’s NextGen Composers program has supported the development of Canadian talent through mentorship and hands-on orchestral creation. This season, three early-career composers — Matthias McIntire, Jesse Plessis, and Yike Zhang — will work closely with Gustavo Gimeno and Liam Ritz (TSO RBC Affiliate Composer) to develop exciting new works for performance by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
