Originally published in French, the story, which is often seen as a parable about French and English relations in Canada, became an instant classic of Canadian literature.

A VISIT WITH ITZHAK PERLMAN, APRIL 25-28, 2012
Music Director Peter Oundjian joins his mentor to perform Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins.
March 19, 2012 – World renowned conductor and violinist Itzhak Perlman joins the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for a residency from April 25 – 28, 2012. During his extended visit, Mr. Perlman will perform alongside his former student and long-time collaborator, TSO Music Director Peter Oundjian as soloists in J. S. Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins (April 28, 2012). In a second concert progamme, Perlman performs Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and conducts the Orchestra (April 25 & 26, 2012). Offstage, Perlman will meet with Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra musicians for an inspirational question-and-answer session.

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra Announces its 2012.2013 Season
Toronto Feb 1, 2012 - Today, Music Director Peter Oundjian announced the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) 2012.2013 concert season. The TSO is known for programming great works in unique ways, and for inviting audiences to experience live orchestral music in formats that fit into their personal lifestyles and tastes. In 2012.2013, the TSO adds new dimensions to the concert experience including visual elements, an “Audience-Choice” programme, and a symphonic work written for, by, and about the City of Toronto.
