Orff's 1930s setting of earthy, middle-ages poetry brought simplicity and joy back into European art music. Carmina Burana celebrates feelings of universal emotions in a stunning, intensely memorable fashion.

Come for: You'll recognize Carmina Burana from countless television commercials and film scores, especially the thunderous opening chorus: O, Fortuna (O, Luck).

And more: A unique opportunity to hear British poems set to music by Benjamin Britten.
