2012.2013 Season
Tchaikovsky Symphony 4
Kelley O'Connor,
mezzo-soprano
Robert Spano, the illustrious Music Director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, conducts Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4, an intensely dramatic work that mirrors the turmoil of the composer's own life. The programme also includes the first of Peter Lieberson's two gorgeous song-cycles setting love poems by the Nobel prize-winning Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda.
