2012.2013 Season
Sparkler
Pekka Kuusisto,
violin
This unique programme is comprised of music by contemporary composers that boldly looks forward while honouring the past. Owen Pallett's Violin Concerto is inspired by the solo violin music of Bach. In Sparkler, Tod Machover explores the many relationships between orchestra and technology, interweaving themes from Beethoven and The Beatles. Talk about the 3 B's!
