Pictures at an Exhibition
Joyce Yang,
piano
Experience Pictures at an Exhibition as you never have before! Images illustrating Mussorgsky's evocative music will be projected above the orchestra, giving this fanciful score a totally new dimension. Korean pianist Joyce Yang, the silver medallist at the 2005 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, performs one of the most beloved of all concertos, Rachmaninoff's soulful Second. A playful work by Canadian Kati Agócs kicks off the concert.
