Mozart: Voice, Piano, Orchestra
Layla Claire,
soprano
This concert focuses on Mozart's mastery of the voice and the piano. Soprano Layla Claire, whom the Boston Herald has praised as "a top-of-the-range soprano who sang the most challenging passages with ease," offers a choice selection of operatic and concert arias. The celebrated pianist, Jeremy Denk, performs Concerto No. 21, whose dreamy slow movement shot to fame as the theme from the film Elvira Madigan.
