Maestro Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos leads this unique opportunity to enjoy Spanish composer Manuel de Falla's passionate opera, La vida breve (The Short Life). This masterpiece is performed by a full cast of singers from Spain, complete with English supertitles. Plus watch live flamenco dancing on stage! Also on the programme is Beethoven’s light-hearted Symphony No. 8.

Synopsis: Set in Granada, Spain, La vida breve is a story of love and betrayal among gypsies. Salud and Paco are both in love, but Paco neglects to mention that he is marrying Carmela. Salud finds out and then crashes the wedding to confront her beloved.
