2012.2013 Season
Joshua Bell & Edgar Meyer
Joshua Bell,
violin
Master violinist Joshua Bell performs classical and folk-flavoured works on the same hugely entertaining programme! He brings his trademark flair to Ravel's homage to gypsy fiddling, and he's joined by the extraordinary double bass soloist and composer, Edgar Meyer, for a newly composed double concerto for violin and bass. Copland's folksy ballet, Appalachian Spring, and Respighi's evocative tribute to Rome, complete the programme.
