2012.2013 Season
Beethoven and Brahms
Ingrid Fliter,
piano
In the towering Symphony No. 1, Brahms trod the heroic path that Beethoven had blazed in his Fifth and Ninth Symphonies. That's why his admirers crowned it "Beethoven's Tenth." It shares the bill with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4. The distinguished soloist is Argentine pianist, Ingrid Fliter, whom London's Sunday Times has praised for her "exhilarating and powerful performances."
