Dvorák's Symphony No. 7, a masterful blend of universal emotions and the folk dance rhythms of his native Czechoslovakia, forms the core of this meaty programme. Violinist Stefan Jackiw returns after his sensational TSO debut in the 2009.2010 season, a performance that The Globe and Mail called "about as pure and as close to perfection as music can get." This time he performs the dazzling concerto by Mendelssohn.

Casual Concerts are performed without an intermission and are followed by a party in the lobby. Mingle with musicians in a relaxed setting and enjoy live music by local bands.
