2010.2011 Season
Beethoven Eroica Symphony
Beethoven
The centrepiece of the programme that James Conlon
brings to the TSO is the masterwork whose innovations
and sheer power made it the most influential symphony
of the entire nineteenth century: Beethoven’s Third, the
“Eroica”. Soloist Orion Weiss makes his début
in a Piano Concerto by Erwin Schulhoff, a Czech-born
victim of the Nazi Holocaust.
On Apr. 9 at 7:15pm, join Rick Phillips for a relaxed and enlightening discussion about the performance, with a Pre-Concert Chat in the lobby.
