2009.2010 Season
Itzhak Perlman Plays Mendelssohn
Itzhak Perlman,
violin
Itzhak Perlman, violinist supreme, takes centre stage on this richly satisfying all-Mendelssohn programme. Bookending Perlman's performances of the ravishingly beautiful Concerto in E Minor are Mendelssohn's postcards from a grand tour of Europe: a misty evocation of the Scottish Hebrides islands, and a vivacious symphonic souvenir of Italy.
The Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform The Hebrides alongside the TSO.
On May 22 at 7:15pm, join Rick Phillips for a relaxed and enlightening discussion about the performance, with a Pre-Concert Chat in the lobby.
