Mi Hyon has been a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for ten years. Her main teachers include Isidor Desser, Berl Senofsky and Isador Tinkleman. Prior to the TSO she played in the Chamber Players of Toronto and the Amadeus Ensemble.

Mi Hyon is married to TSO principal clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas and they have two sons, Josue and Alejandro.
