Customer Service Representative
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra Customer Service Centre seeks Mandarin / Cantonese speaking individual for full time Customer Service Representative.
Reports To: Manager and Assistant Manager of Customer Service
Responsibilities: Working in a fast-paced environment, the Customer Service Centre is responsible for ensuring that the needs and requests of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's subscribers, donors and single ticket buyers are handled in a courteous, speedy and appropriate manner. Also required to foster a relationship with individuals and ticketing services within the Toronto Chinese Community.
Specifically, each Customer Service Representative is responsible for:
- Addressing patron requests via telephone, fax, mail, in-person and e-mail
- Series order processing
- Single ticket processing
- Exchanging subscriber tickets
- Work with Marketing staff on strategic and content planning for our Chinese Marketing campaigns
- Assist with public relations in Chinese community
- Additional duties for the marketing department will be assigned
- Concert Duty
Hours: Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
- Evening and weekend hours are needed for concert duty, occasional extra work during busy periods and off-site events within Chinese community
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with spoken and written word in English, Mandarin and Cantonese a must
- Superior customer service and organizational skills a must
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks a must
- Knowledge of HTML and content management systems a definite asset
- Knowledge of Photoshop a definite asset
- Highly self-motivated
- Knowledge of orchestral music a definite asset
- Previous work in ticketing an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel an asset
